Well, we are a church that is intentional about growing up BIG like Jesus. We believe that we should have a deep, rich, abiding love relationship with Christ. We know that worshiping God is important and that we need small groups to do life-on-life with a few. We are also committed to loving the world God has put close to us . . . our community. We value authenticity and transparency. Those two are essential for anyone to begin to grow. Without them no one will drop their defenses and share the truth about themselves. Pastor Paul Carlisle

Dr. Paul Carlisle, Lead Pastor

Dr. Paul Carlisle served as Interim Pastor in 2006 before becoming South Platte's full time Lead Pastor. Paul is married to his best friend, Terri Carlisle. They celebrate their anniversary on July 26, after being married in 1980. He also has three children; Chase, Chelsea, and Alyssa Carlisle. Paul enjoys hangin out with his family and friends and developing real relationships with people. Paul was born in Longview, TX and moved to Kansas City in 2001.

Jeff Vanderford, Associate Pastor

Pastor Jeff began serving as Interim Worship Pastor in 2006 and in October, of the same year, became Worship Pastor. In 2007 he became South Platte's Young Adult & Worship Pastor. Jeff was licensed to the ministry 2009 and ordained in February 2011, all with South Platte. He currently serves as Associate Pastor. Jeff has been married to his best friend, Jessica Vanderford, since 2003. They celebrate their anniversary on April 3rd. He enjoys spending time with family and friends 9and making new friends). He also enjoys college basketball, the Chiefs, and the Royals.
